Going South

Sunday, October 16th, 2005

Hey people if you guys wondered, i’ve recently back from Singapore out for my 1st debate in a foreign country. it was a great experience though i didn’t win the competition. lets just look at the main differences in both countries i’ve been to in my life: Singapore and…. Malaysia (I don’t travel a lot. hehe)

first of all the transportation can be easily found in Singapore. Just look at any street there, a bunch of taxis are driving for customers. buses are frequent there, compared to Malaysia where you have to wait like hell to see one. (love the double decker bus….). MRT are seemed to be packed in any hour, unlike our transit systems. although it is more expensive, it just worth the convienece.

food are similar in these countries, but in Singapore is much more expensive…… sigh but if you look at the prospective of a Singaporean….. its much cheaper there….

tons of stuff more are different there, tired from the journey…. see you guys soon…..

The Journey

Friday, October 7th, 2005

i dunno wat got me, sudden inspiration of poetic post nowadays:

The journey,

the long and winding journey,

the journey that needs a lot of grit,

the journey that needs a lot of guts,

the journey that seem never ends

but it will end unexpectedly.

sometimes the journey is to hard to go on

sometimes the journey forces you to detour

sometimes there are junctions and roundabouts

but most of all,

this journey has no turning back

When the journey gets tough

just remember,

the destination doesn’t matter

the fun along the journey does

Currency Crisis

Heh, don’t be shocked by the title…. just to grab attention from you guys out there.

remember the good old days our parents told us? i heard a lot from mine. "we used to have these candies that sell a few cents a handful" and "only need 30 cents to have a decent bowl of noodles" as well as "the ais kacang costs only 5 cents a ball (yeah ais kacang shaved and shaped into a ball as a popular dessert among kids)". hearing this i was amazed by the fact that everything can be bought in a very, very small amount of cash….. considering there was a lower income in the past.

well now things are totaly different. not only we have new gadgets, but the inflation skyrocketed. a bowl of noodles costs RM3.50, and candies sometimes do not cost less than RM1 a handful….. and other loads of stuff that hurts a lot of our wallet……sigh. even the pice doesn’t increase, the quality of the product will be sacrificed. inflation sucks, but it exist somehow.

so we can’t live back the past, so we should settle in our present and live with it. to live and to survive cost a lot now…. from cradle to grave. wat is life now? erm…. earning enough money to live. lol byes

Wanna cigarette?

Monday, October 3rd, 2005

From the beginning of teenage years up till the age of the young adults, i see more and more friends of mine picked up this dirty habit….. seemingly popular among people of our age….. no prizes for guessing it right, because the title is so obviously stated — smoking.

if you ask a smoker why do you start smoking, he/she will tell you a myraid of stories and reasons why he/she smokes. some just smoke for fun (for pleasure?), out of curiousity to be exact, others smoke because they cannot handle perr pressure or school life. There are others that smoke just to fit in with others or some sort of socials….. guess some people’s peer pressure is harder to deal with than i thought.

its hard to break this knid of habit, even though they know that smoking is bad for health, the so-called "informed choice" or the risk they take they think is wroth a chance…. furthermore, cigarettes are kinda addictive, once popped into their mouths, the desire of having another stick will be there and still there even going through quitting process.

Me? smokinig? nope…. although i hangout with smokers already….. i still resist the bad habit, i hate the smoke (no offense to smokers), well i tend to brush it off…18 years tobacco-free and still counting….. as for the smokers and non-smokers out there, life is in your hands, the choices you made now will have an effect to your future……… bye

poetic post

look carefully guys…. this poem is kinda of a brain teaser

"Can you understand?"

"Oh…" finally I comprehend

Now things seem easy to explain

Finally, complicated becomes plain

Usually after a long thought

Somehow I understand a lot

Externally I feel the excitement joyfully

Definately I feel delighted internally
