Had a bad day?

Friday, January 6th, 2006

Life has its ups and downs, bad days is when you feel you suck the most. Here’s a song from Daniel Powter that illustrates all the feelings when one has a bad day:

Where is the moment we needed the most
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost
They tell me your blue skies fade to grey
They tell me your passion’s gone away
And I don’t need no carryin’ on

You stand in the line just to hit a new low
You’re faking a smile with the coffee to go
You tell me your life’s been way off line
You’re falling to pieces everytime
And I don’t need no carryin’ on

Cause you had a bad day
You’re taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don’t know
You tell me don’t lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don’t lie
You’re coming back down and you really don’t mind
You had a bad day
You had a bad day

Well you need a blue sky holiday
The point is they laugh at what you say
And I don’t need no carryin’ on

You had a bad day
You’re taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don’t know
You tell me don’t lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don’t lie
You’re coming back down and you really don’t mind
You had a bad day

(Oh.. Holiday..)

Sometimes the system goes on the blink
And the whole thing turns out wrong
You might not make it back and you know
That you could be well oh that strong
And I’m not wrong

So where is the passion when you need it the most
Oh you and I
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost

Cause you had a bad day
You’re taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don’t know
You tell me don’t lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
You’ve seen what you like
And how does it feel for one more time
You had a bad day
You had a bad day

Had a bad day
Had a bad day
Had a bad day
Had a bad day
Had a bad day

Competition

Tuesday, January 3rd, 2006

"Competition, it means different things to different people. But whether it’s a friendly rivalry…or a fight to the death…the end result is the same. There will be winners…and there will be losers. Of course, the trick is to know which battles to fight. You see, no victory comes without a price."

this qoute is from the popular tv series desperate housewives. ah life really is a competition itself. we always want to better ourselves among our circle of friends, siblings, coleagues nad anyone else on the street. wheather is to outwit, outplay and outlast each other to earn respect, admiration, idolization and avoid humiliation if defeated.

that’s where the competitive edge comes to us. we all want to win. Either we win the game through our own wits and strengh, or by sneaky cheating methods, it doesn’t matter. we just love the feeling of winning. it feels good, there’s a sense of energy and power flowing to you when feeling victorious.

i always want to win since i was little. i just don’t want to show it that obvious as i get older. each time i’m defeated, i feel a bit devesgated. however, i always find ways to defeat the same person again……not necessary following the rules of the game.  sometimes you can never fight clean to win.

so life always involed with competition. we all have the competitive edge inside us. its a matter of quantity and time and place like playing sports, racing and playing video games.as i mentioned before, life is a never ending race…. with competitors too!
