The Scientist

A easy-listening song from Coldplay…. enjoy!

Come up to meet you, tell you I’m sorry,
You don’t know how lovely you are,
I had to find you, tell you I need ya,
And tell you I set you apart,
Tell me your secrets, and ask me your questions,
Oh lets go back to the start
,
Running in circles, coming in tails,
Heads on a science apart,

Nobody said it was easy,
It’s such a shame for us to part,
Nobody said it was easy,
No one ever said it would be this hard,
Oh take me back to the start

I was just guessing at numbers and figures,
Pulling the puzzles apart,
Questions of science, science and progress,
Do not speak as loud as my heart,
And tell me you love me, come back and haunt me,
Oh and I rush to the start,
Running in circles, chasing tails,
Coming back as we are

Nobody said it was easy,
Oh it’s such a shame for us to part,
Nobody said it was easy,
No one ever said it would be so hard,
I’m going back to the start

Racism Part 2

Friday, August 25th, 2006

Have you heard?? the latest Survivor Series is going to be divided by race!!! What is wrong with these people. They claim it is meant to be "racial representation". Geez, if you want that kind of representation, include more diverse contestants, not dividing them based on who they are!!

This is going too far…. What are your thoughts then??

Racism and discrimination

Saturday, August 19th, 2006

I suggest you who are sensitive in these issues not to read further in this post….

I just heard from my friend that she’s persuing her studies to a foreign country. Another reason she added is to run away from racism happening here. Well i have news for her: RACISM IS EVERYWHERE!!! It is true. you can’t run away from discrimination - it just happens. People will do it against you, just because you are different from others in a particular society. Take US for example. Yep it is a multicultral society there, but racism is still rampant in the society.

If we paid enough attention to the world’s history. People who are at war or countries that are in conflict just because they don’t see eye to eye to their religion, race or their ideology. We heard about the massacre in Rwanda where the Hutus killed the Tutsies in large numbers. We read about the hollocaust where Adolf Hitler and the Nazis killed millions of Jews in concetrated camps. We heard about the tragedy in Palestine with Israel, now Israel is in conflict with Lebanon. The list goes on….

In everyday life, who gets some form of discrimination? Me and you. Just because a person is born in a particular race doesn’t mean he or she deserves to be treated differently. Nobody deserves a cold look when he/she is just walking down the street. Nobody should turn down a person’s application not because he/she is not capable, but he/she i different. Heck nobody should discriminate in my opinion.

So people who have such racist ideas… ditch them. if you can’t, just don’t show them in your actions, as noone should be treated that way.

Everyday a little death

Wednesday, August 9th, 2006

This goes to the ones lost their lives too soon, caused by diseases, accidents, and suicides….. this post goes to especially the ones who were encountered by misfortunes…

I was shocked to hear 1 student in mmu malacca fall to his deaths from an 18-floor apartment, a guy who was slashed by a robber, someone who just lost their lives after a night out, a young woman has raped and murdered in a bus when she went to work one morning or a girl who was gone out jogging, and never came back as she was raped and killed…

It is painful to see someone who you don’t even know lost their lives in their tender age, let alone the ones who love and care for… So becareful everyone out there… don’t let this happen to you, take precautions where necessary, don’t drink and drive, don’t walk alone at night, do whatever the community messages told you to do, just be careful….

Trips and more Trips

Monday, August 7th, 2006

I had like two trips back to back within a week… first is the waterfall trip in Sungai Gabai in Hulu Langat. The trip there is deemed necessary for my It was a long drive there, but all the frustration and troubles are soon gone when we saw the majestic looking waterfall gushing at the background. The view is awesome and we managed to took a lot of pictures there…. And yes we were off to have a splashing fun. (All went and have no change of clothes for myself) After getting all soaked and wet, we have a nice dinner set in a rural atmosphere complete with a fishing village atmosphere.

Second trip is heading south to Malacca for a debating tournament thing. I nearly broke into the semi-finals, which is very disappointing. However the socials hangout place is a total contrast of the historical place of Malacca. The club is full of hits and we were dancing to the tunes until we were all tired. We also stole the limelight by announcing the birthday of a person and giving graditute to a senior who will be leaving us.

Thirdly is my trip back home for the mid term break…. my car got scratched by a lorry… badly…. T.T

Oh well, travelling whether is short or long, is part of our life… the best you can do is enjoying it, and take a bright side of things. bye for now…
