Friends… Why I have a few real ones

Monday, September 25th, 2006

Well you meet a lot of friends in life. In school, in your neighbourhood, at work and other unsuspected times where people get together and introduce their friends to you. Friends come and go, some lost contact, some grew apart, others still bonded and relationships grow.

There are many many types of friends. Some people you know are friends because they share your interests. They are the ones that share what you like to do best, what you like and even share your weird habits. They usually do not mind you doing your own thing or tolerate your quirky or bad habits.

Some of them are there to have fun with you. No matter what sort of hangouts, movies, concertrts, karaokes, or just going to a local coffee shop to just to talk for hours, they’ll call you up and invite you there…. they never leave you behind.

Others just be there to help you or to be helped. They are the ones with problems to share, they offer help… and they are the ones you know you can count on….

The thing is i had only a few of my friends who fall under these three catergories. I had interest that only a few would like (some even detest my interests), i rarely invited for an outing (sometimes even invited myself…) and people only contact me if they need help…. Not that I feel pessimistic about myself. I just realize the fact that i’m not close to a lot of people (maybe i don’t open up), or some friends do not consider me as a friend, or they are just not worth to be friends at all…

anyway it’s good to meet new friends along the way…. that’s the positive i can look to in terms of dwindling friendships

At the wrong place and at the wrong time

You sat in a lecture, and the lecture is boring, and they keep on displaying slides of pictures that may or may not interests you.  You are very tired as you had only 2 1/2 hours of sleep last night. Guess what? you’ll fall asleep.

It’s a common practice for college and university kids nowadays that you will fall asleep in one of their classes. No prizes for guessing i’m one of them too. To make matters worse, I was humiliated when a photograph of me dozing off displayed in front of the class! Gah, How I hate him doing that! >:(

Look, this is the first time I fall asleep in class… There are dozens of people slept in the class hundred times more than me? Why should I bear the label and humiliation of being a "sleeping beauty (of course i’m not beautiful, trust me)"?

You can’t blame me for doing that. I have 4 assignments to handle, I didn’t get enough sleep. I’m freaking tired from rushing them all and submit all of them in time. Other than assignment bogging down my time, I have absolutely no time for anything else. I need more time to sleep, there is no resting time for me even.

Guess I have to heed to my roomie’s idea to skip classes when he’s too tired to go. That’s better off than getting fame from converting a lecture hall into a bedroom.

Sex Sells

Face it…. we are all in a superficial world, where sexy people are admired and the others wanted to be like one…

We are all acheving some status to be beautiful, with toned-abs, good complexion, and charming looks. We see people going through a lot of trouble to be attractive. People work their but off to be sexy to their partners, or to get a partner. They dress to kill to promote the stuff they sell, and believe me it works like magic!

Yep it’s a fact…. we all want to be sexy and beautiful
