Gambling in Life

Saturday, February 24th, 2007

Yes it’s chinese new year and I picked up gambling during the holidays…. Usually the gambling table is ""off limits" to us underaged kids, but this year it’s different. Hehe

One of the common games people play to win bets is Black Jack, rules are simple get 21 or below you’re safe, and i won double the money i brought to the table… :)

Gambling is kinda addictive… but i try not to get myself invovled too much, i know the aftermath to be flooded with debts in the future, and the debt collectors (more known as loan sharks) are just ruthless in chasing debtors… >_< Let’s just say it’s still under control ya…

Anyways happy chinese new year!!!

Music: My Life

Tuesday, February 6th, 2007

As you may have noticed, I’ve been posted up a lot of song lyrics to this blog…. Not that I have nothing to write, just sharing the music I love to hear and it is meaningful to me (Well you can count Hips Don’t Lie out for this).

Music to me has embedded into my life, my addiction to spark something creative, motivation to work hard, passing boredom, and so much more. Playing, listening, downloading thousands from my pc, singing in the shower, humming when I feel like it…. Gosh, when is the last time I did not even do something about songs?

This time I would like to share a great song from the late Jeff Burkley (He’s dead before I even know his songs :( ). "Hallelujah", a song included to a lot of tv series especially during sad and tragic times.

Hallelujah
by Jeff Burkley

Well I heard there was a secret chord
that David played and it pleased the Lord
But you don’t really care for music, do ya?
Well it goes like this :
The fourth, the fifth, the minor fall and the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah

Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah…

Well your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew ya
And she tied you to her kitchen chair
She broke your throne and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah

Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah…

(Yeah but) Baby I’ve been here before
I’ve seen this room and I’ve walked this floor, (You know)
I used to live alone before I knew ya
And I’ve seen your flag on the marble arch
and love is not a victory march
It’s a cold and it’s a broken Hallelujah

Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah…

Well there was a time when you let me know
What’s really going on below
But now you never show that to me do ya
But remember when I moved in you
And the holy dove was moving too
And every breath we drew was Hallelujah

Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah

Hallelujah…

[Instrumental]

Maybe there’s a God above
But all I’ve ever learned from love
Was how to shoot somebody who outdrew ya
And it’s not a cry that you hear at night
It’s not somebody who’s seen the light
It’s a cold and it’s a broken Hallelujah

Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelu…
Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelu…
Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah

I swear I felt emo after listening to this wonderful song… till then see you soon.
