Seems like everybody’s singing other people’s song nowadays. Some makes it better, others make it worse, and also there are others that take the original to another level (this is so subjective, okay). From Mandy Moore singing "Umbrella" from Rihanna to this song, "We are the Champions" from Queen, sung by Gavin Degraw.

I’ve paid my dues, time after time
I’ve done my sentence, but committed no crime
And bad mistakes, I’ve made a few
I’ve had my share of sand, kicked in my face
But I’ve come through

And I need to go on and on and on and on
We are the champions, my friend
And we’ll keep on fighting till the end
We are the champions, We are the champions
No time for losers ‘cos we are the champions of the world

I’ve taken my bows, and my curtain calls
You’ve bought me fame and fortune
And everything that goes with it… I thank you all
But it’s been no bed of roses, no pleasure cruise
I consider it a challenge before the whole human race
And I ain’t gonna lose

And I need to go on and on and on and on
We are the champions, my friend
And we’ll keep on fighting till the end
We are the champions, We are the champions
No time for losers ‘cos we are the champions of the world

We are the champions, my friend
And we’ll keep on fighting till the end
We are the champions, We are the champions
No time for losers, ‘cos we are the champions

This song is dedicated to the Debate club of MMU, Voices for dominating the latest debate tournament in IIU (MIEDC 2007). Good work and Congrats guys!

Indie is in

I’m listening to a lot of indies nowadays. At first i never got to understand indie music, now i know it’s more powerful, creative and meaningful than the mainstreams i often listen.
Here’s one i’m listening on repeat…. love it =)
Your Ex-Lover is Dead
by Stars
"When you have nothing else to burn, you have to set yourself on fire…"
God that was strange to see you again
Introduced by a friend of a friend
Smiled and said ‘Yes I think we’ve met before’
In that instant it started to pour,
Captured a taxi despite all the rain
We drove in silence across pont champlain
And all of the time you thought I was sad
I was trying to remember your name…
This scar is a fleck on my porcelain skin
Tried to reach deep but you couldn’t get in
Now you’re outside me
You see all the beauty
Repent all your sin
It’s nothing but time and a face that you lose
I chose to feel it and you couldn’t choose
I’ll write you a postcard
I’ll send you the news
From a house down the road from real love…
Live through this, and you won’t look back…
Live through this, and you won’t look back…
Live through this, and you won’t look back…
There’s one thing I want to say, so I’ll be brave
You were what I wanted
I gave what I gave
I’m not sorry I met you
I’m not sorry it’s over
I’m not sorry there’s nothing to say
